Shift it

S/S collections have been on the runways for sometime now but with the terrible weather we've been experiencing its been hard to get exited about wearing any of it. Now that the sun is threatening to make an appearance its time to shift our attention away from the more practical items in our wardrobes and focus on the feminity that easy springtime fashion can bring.

The shift dress was first seen on flappers in the 1920's and was such a hit because its loose fit made it perfect for dancing. This means that it's an ideal option for shaking your tail feathers in the evening, now that the days have become that little bit longer.

This doesn't mean that the shift dress isn't versatile however, the shift dress can easily be dressed down to give you an elegant yet understated day time look which can also make the most body conscious of us feel comfortable due to its most flattering of cut.

Shift dress, Missguided £24.99 | Bag, Pull & Bear | Watch, Marc Jacobs
