The Anti-Fad Diet

Last week, after failing to stick to a carb-free diet, I found myself with my tail between my legs googling; 'quick ways to lose weight'.

After a good hour of sifting through pages and pages of weight loss resources, I realised that I've pretty much tried every fad diet out there. I then realised that if any of them actually worked, I wouldn't be sat here goolging in desperation clad with a mind-set that has in the past, caused me to become really quite unwell.

So, I came up with an idea. I mean, it's really a very novel idea; eat normally.

I totally understand that anyone reading this may think that I've completely lost the plot but the one thing I have never done or can't remember doing is, eating three balanced meals a day.

Ergo (as it literally was the only diet I hadn't tried) I decided to document my journey on what I have named 'The Anti-Fad Diet'.

Four days in, I haven't weighed myself. However, my stomach definitely feels flatter and I was able to zip up my jeans without passing out this morning!

This may be a very tiny feat but to achieve this without one stomach rumble or having to eat a grapefruit is really rather satisfying!

  9. Fad diets really don't work, they are just to make money and just promote unhealthiness. You're right, just eat normally, listen to your body and you'll feel great :) xxx

    1. That's right!
If only I had the sense to do this years ago- so much time wasted worrying about what foods to eat/not eat! X

  14. Losing weight is such a funny thing and you're right diet's dont really last. I think it's because theyre not enjoyable. You're better off creating a lifestyle and incorporating foods that you do like into it.

  15. i definitely couldn't go without carbs haha but i try to make sure everything i eat is still mostly healthy. i don't like to weigh myself because it can just discourage you, better to make sure you feel good about yourself!

  21. And this proves what I always preach: everyone has to find their own way of dieting. Not every diet works for every girl. Good job, good on you that you've found your own path! :)
